DJ Lomaxx, voted one of the hottest dj’s in the city of Memphis by
Street Masters Magazine, has been Dj’in well over 15 years, a skill
that he learned from his father. ” DJ Lomaxx started Dj’in high school parties in the early 1990′s which led to his first night club, but with trouble seemingly right around the corner, Lomaxx made a swift decision to join the military.

Dj’in was put on the back burner for a while, until he was relocated and stationed in         Mannheim Germany’s (BFV) his need for the music grew, being able to see some of the hottest dj’s his eyes had ever seen, dj everything from Techno to Hip Hop the itch was back. Clubs in Germany were so different from the clubs that he was used too, they played music from ever party of the U.S, east coast, west coast, down south and reggae, nothing was off limits; it was a melting pot of music and with all of that around him he made a immediate return back to the turn tables.

Upon returning back to the states Lomaxx set his sights on being one of the hottest dj’s in his region, so it was back to the clubs. Any club that had a spot for him he was there, big clubs, small clubs, even juke joints. Now working the club seen was fine but there was another fire that had been burning since he was a child and that burn was RADIO!! Dj Lomaxx was introduced to radio by a very unlikely person, someone who he actually didn’t get along with, but God works in mysterious ways. WQOX 88.5 was the first stop on the list of radio stations that Lomaxx was able to start to develop his skills, the station was a non-commercial station so it left very little room to be creative, so with a push from some radio legends in Memphis radio like Tina Tilton & Dj Freddy Hydro, Lomaxx set his sights on working for WMPW power99 Memphis, the station was new to the area so it was a perfect fit, but after only 2 years the station flipped to easy listening format and once again Lomaxx was looking for a station to call home, and he knew just the right place, KHXT Hot107.1.

 Known for being one of the hottest station in the country for its all hip-hop format, and that’s where you can find him today, the station where Hip-Hop lives. Now the newly crowned World Famous DJ Lomaxx has set his sights on moving beyond the boundaries of Tenn-A-key so he joined his first dj crew, The Future Star dj’s and with that step came one of the biggest of his career, being inductee into the elite Hittmenn dj crew. As you can see it’s far from over for this DJ born in Nap-town and musically reared in Memphis, the sky is the limits.  You can
